IABC has programs and services to meet members’ key needs for information (especially about emerging trends and issues), networking opportunities, education for skills development, professional development and other special services. Visit IABC.com to learn more about the benefits you’ll get as an IABC member.
In addition, IABC/Brazos Valley gives its members:
- Opportunities for leadership. Our chapter relies on volunteers for everything from planning special seminars to creating this web site! By serving on a committee, you can help your chapter, develop your leadership skills, and have fun.
- Members-Only Web Resources. In the IABC.com members section, you can find a colleague anywhere in the world, manage your career, and more. In our chapter website’s members area, you can add your name and links to the Freelancer directory, post news items directly to the front page, post comments on website articles, and more. IABC/BV members also have access to the chapter member directory.
- Discounts. An investment in IABC membership saves you money on competition entry fees, monthly luncheons, and local (and international) workshops.
- Special Interest Groups. IABC/BV sponsors Special Interest Groups geared toward specific issues in communications. Typically, the SIGs meet for lunch and have a guided discussion.
Annual membership in this international community of professionals (including both local and international dues) costs $299. Don’t forget that some employers pay for some or all of your professional development, so be sure to check with your employer to see if you are eligible.
