Local competition: Brazos Bravo
Each spring, IABC/Brazos Valley’s communicators enter their best writing, editing, design, photography, videography and more in Brazos Bravo. The competition is judged by other IABC chapters. The Brazos Bravo awards gala highlights the best communicators in the Brazos Valley. Also at the awards gala, the chapter bestows two honors: the Edna Smith Standing Ovation Award and the Bob Bilberry Vendor Award.
Southern Region competition: Silver Quill
IABC/Brazos Valley’s communicators can enter their work to be judged among entries from Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arizona, and New Mexico (currently inactive). The awards banquet is at the annual Southern Region conference. IABC/BV members’ work is frequently recognized in this competition. Note: Silver Quill entrants do not have to be Brazos Bravo entrants or winners. Learn more about Silver Quill on the IABC Southern Region website.
International competition: Gold Quill
Only the top communication projects in the world earn IABC’s Gold Quill Award. Several recent Gold Quill winners are from Brazos Valley! Learn more about Gold Quill on the IABC International web site.
